Permit

An instruction permit allows a person to legally practice driving.

The following requirements apply:

● Must be 14 years of age.

● Pass written exam and visual screen test.

● Must have a parent or legal guardian sponsorship if under 18.

● If under 16, they must hold a permit for 12 months or until they turn 16.

○ Minimum holding period is 6 months.

● Accumulate 50 hours of supervised driving in varied weather and road conditions, at night and on rural, urban and gravel roads.

● A person with a valid license, at least 18 years of age with at least three years of driving experience, must ride in the seat beside you.
